Are you struggling to get buy in for your health, mental health and wellbeing strategy or programme? Or to make the change or impact you hoped to?

Are you passionate about health, mental health and wellbeing in the workplace and want to combine that passion with practical skills, expertise and strategic knowledge?

Have you created or been given a role working in health, mental health and wellbeing and are now learning on the job?

Here is a course that combines practical skills, expertise and the strategic knowledge you need

Are you passionate about health, mental health and wellbeing but worried that you aren’t really sure what you are doing writing or running a programme?

Are you isolated working on health and wellbeing within your organisation and want to share your journey or experience and learn from others working in the same field?

Do you work in another aspect of wellbeing or are you keen to get into the wellbeing industry and want to really understand health, mental health and wellbeing in the workplace?

You are not alone!! I have designed this course with you in mind…

This is a 6-week practical, skills led course on all aspects of creating and implementing an organisational health, mental health, or wellbeing strategy and programme. We cover the A-Z of everything you need to know about workplace health, mental health, and wellbeing.

This is designed to be:

  • Practical and skills based– what you need to know to do your job better

  • No-nonsense and no waffle - I bring my experience and examples from 20 years’ experience in the industry

  • ‘How to’ – this isn’t academic or theory. This is for you to put into practice now

  • Comprehensive – covering all aspects of a strategy and programme

Workplace health, mental health and wellbeing is a complex and multi-dimensional beast. Doing it right means creating a strategy or programme that involves numerous parts of an organisation and managing different and varied stakeholders. We will look at all aspects of what you need to do and why. Modules are listed below.

The course is designed to be a cohort-based value experience. By taking a group through the content I am hoping that, as well as learning practical skills, we learn from each other, build relationships, and create a supportive community and network. How we do this will depend on the numbers that sign up.

For this reason, you must book for the whole course. I will not be offering stand alone modules.

In time I will look to develop this network and community more. Anyone part of this first cohort will be included in this and in any future developments.

What Is This Course?

Live masterclass on 16th February at 10am

Join me live on Zoom 16th February at 10am where I’ll be talking in more detail about content and answering all Q&A on logistics and payment plans. Call length will be an hour but I hope to finish before then. I’m aiming for 30 or 45 mins.

I’ll go through the basics of creating and running a health, mental health and wellbeing strategy or programme and what my methodology is. You will learn something from the call even if the training isn’t for you.

We can go through whether this is the course or fit for you.

I also want to use the opportunity to hear from you about what you want to learn on the course and how I can structure it best for you. This is the first time I am running it so I want to make it just right.

How do I find out more?

I have noticed in my work (as a strategist, consultant, strategic partner, and mentor to people across the industry) that many of the people I work with have come from one background, or a ‘passion’ for health, mental health and wellbeing. Many have got there by pivoting from other roles and are 'learning on the job'. There is a big skills gap. Especially with strategic thinking.

I work often with people from Human Relations, Diversity & Inclusion, Health & Safety or Learning & Development…  They are experts in their fields but don't often have training or understanding in all the different multi-dimensional aspects of heath, mental health, and wellbeing strategies required to do it properly.

  • Many wellbeing strategies and programmes aren’t strategic and are collections of well-intentioned activities that won’t make change as they are outside of core organisational processes. They are often siloed and don’t involve all the many parts of the organisation needed to make change.

There are some fab academic courses out there now (including an MSc in Workplace Wellbeing) but I haven't found a really practical, 'how to' course that will tackle the issues I see on a day to day basis.

I created this course to give a thorough and strategic understanding of all aspects of health, mental health and wellbeing… based on 20 years of my strategic work within many different organisations.
